Highgate Painters & Decorators

A price for a defined piece of work.

A room name is a starting point, not a complete specification. A useful quotation explains the surfaces, preparation and practical arrangements behind the proposed price.

Discuss your project

Identify the work at surface level

For each room, list the walls, ceiling and any woodwork to include. For exteriors, list the individual windows, doors, surrounds and other coated elements. Add measurements where known and photographs of the present condition. Make retained finishes explicit so the boundary of the new work can be understood.

Make uncertain preparation visible

Ask which preparation operations are included and which defects need separate assessment. Removing an existing covering may reveal conditions that were not visible before. Agree how those findings will be documented and how any additional work will be priced and authorised. An undefined preparation allowance should not stand in for a repair specification.

Include materials and access

Record who supplies the paint or wallcovering, the selected references and how samples will be approved. Explain the route to the work, equipment requirements and any building instructions. Protection and material handling belong in the discussion, particularly where the property remains occupied or access is shared.

Keep the agreement together

Check the scope, exclusions, proposed sequence and payment terms before accepting the work. Retain approved changes with the original quotation and finish schedule. The enquiry form starts that conversation; it does not reserve a date or confirm a price. There is no standard room price published on this website.
